The job location is Mysore - Manufacturer / exporter of Tungsten and Molybdenum Fine wires and wire products mainly for the Lighting, Automotive as well as the Coating industries. The main product categories are wires (Tungsten and Molybdenum), wire products (Pins, Cut lengths, Evaporation Coils), Machined products of Tungsten and Molybdenum and flat products like boats.

About the Role

We are immediately hiring for Tool Engineering - Tool Management in CNC machining Cutting Tools exposure in planning, trials and vendor development. Be part of growing Business and technically competent project on Cutting tools development for New Products.

Job Role: Tool Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and monitor the tooling department QMS (Tools Drawings with respect to different vendors with latest revision, Procedures, Guidelines / Work Instructions, KAIZENS, Trial Reports, MOM).
• Maintain and monitor cutting tool vendor lists based on expertise, including Vendor Evaluation, Assessment, Audit Plans, CAPA reports and vendor performance for external customers.
• Monitor tool life and reduce return ratio from production to store.
• Identify slow moving / blocked tools and plan for their consumption.
• Plan usage of standard tools rather than special tools based on application criticality.
• Maintain QMS documents, vendor evaluations, monitor tool life, manage slow moving tools and promote standard tools.

Qualifications:

Education Qualification: B.E / DIPLOMA in Mechanical Engineering

Required Skills:

• Cutting tools development for new products
• Reduce CPC by optimizing tool design
• Develop multiple vendors
• Increase utilization of regrind tools
• Create regrinding drawings
• Troubleshooting tooling issues
• Improve tool life and cycle time
• Tool Management sheet updating.

Work Experience: 4 - 5 years

Work Location: Mysore, Karnataka, India
