Thermal Power Development Engineer

Your Role

As a Thermal/Power Development Engineer, you will contribute to building industryleading power, thermal, and limits management software solutions across Qualcomms Mobile, Automotive, Compute, IoT, and AR/VR platforms. You will perform systemlevel analysis, collaborate across hardware and software teams, and deliver optimized power and thermal mitigation strategies.

In this role, you will:

• Analyze systemlevel power and thermal use cases and performance requirements.
• Drive power optimization, performance tuning, and thermal/limit HW tuning.
• Assess risks and define mitigation strategies for thermal and power challenges.
• Collaborate with architecture, HW design, performance, and SW teams.
• Develop tools and methodologies for competitive and system analysis.
• Support systemlevel debugging and characterization for SoC power optimization.

Your Profile

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 25 years of experience in power/thermal or system SW development.
• Proficiency in C/C++/Python/Java or similar programming languages.
• Strong understanding of SoC architecture and HW blocks (CPU, GPU, interconnects).
• Solid OS fundamentals: scheduling, memory, interrupts, and device drivers.
• Experience with debugging tools (JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
• Knowledge of power and thermal management software is a strong plus.
• Strong systemlevel analysis, problemsolving, and collaboration skills.
