Telecommunications Draftsman - Onsite / Remote

Candidzone is actively seeking a skilled, detail-oriented, and experienced Telecommunications Draftsman to design technical schematics, map network systems, and coordinate infrastructure documentation for major developments! Key Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in any Engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in building, residential, industrial, infrastructure, and related projects within the GCC/UAE.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Navisworks.
• Strong experience in producing working drawings and setting up new Revit project files.
• Good knowledge of ELV/ICT systems, including:

1. Fire & Life Safety Systems
2. Telecommunications Systems
3. Security Systems
4. Audio-Visual Systems
5. Structured Cabling Systems
6. Other ELV Systems

• Knowledge of telecommunications rooms, equipment rooms, backbone cabling, horizontal cabling, and structured cabling systems.
• Strong problem-solving, multitasking, communication, and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed ELV/ICT design, shop, coordination, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and other drafting software.
• Extract 3D models for clash detection analysis, schedule reviews, and quantity surveying activities.
• Ensure all models, drawings, and deliverables comply with project specifications, BIM requirements, and company quality standards.
• Prepare engineering drawings from models, including layouts, arrangements, profiles, sections, and detailed plans.
• Apply company drafting standards and engineering practices throughout project execution.
• Mark up and color-code drawings, maps, and sketches to indicate boundaries and project-specific requirements.
• Prepare project cover sheets and support documentation as required.
• Coordinate closely with architects, engineers, and project teams to understand project scope and requirements.
• Develop and maintain accurate design drawings using computer-aided drafting systems.
• Utilize specialized software to retrieve, manage, and present engineering information.
