Technical Writer

Role Summary

The Technical Writer will be responsible for developing user manuals, implementation guides, SOPs, knowledge base articles, product walkthrough videos, training documentation, and release documentation for the Optimus platform.

The ideal candidate should have strong writing skills and practical experience with tools such as Clipchamp, Screen Recording tools, MS Word, and PDF documentation platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Documentation & Content Creation

• Create User Manuals, Product Guides, SOPs, and Knowledge Base Articles
• Prepare Implementation Guides for reconciliation workflows, DI setup, reporting modules, and monitoring dashboards
• Develop Release Notes, Feature Documentation, and Configuration Guides
• Write API documentation and technical implementation instructions
• Create customer onboarding documentation and training material
• Prepare internal process documentation for support, implementation, and operations teams

Video Tutorials & Training Content

• Create product walkthrough videos using Clipchamp
• Perform Video Editing and Text-to-Audio conversion
• Create training videos for customers onboarding and internal enablement
• Record product demos using Screen Recorder (Edge Plugin / Clipchamp)
• Develop voice-over guided training content
• Maintain video-based knowledge repositories

Formatting & Publishing

• Prepare professional documentation using Microsoft Word,PPT
• Convert and publish documentation in PDF format
• Standardise templates for customer-facing and internal documentation
• Ensure documentation follows branding, compliance, and product standards

Required Skills

Mandatory Skills

• 7+ years of experience in Technical Writing
• Strong experience in SaaS / FinTech / Product-based companies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong understanding of software documentation lifecycle
• Experience creating implementation guides and user manuals
• Hands-on expertise in:
• Clipchamp Video Editing & Text-to-Audio Conversion
• Screen Recording Edge Plugin / Clipchamp
• Microsoft Word
• PDF documentation creation and publishing
• Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for business users
• Strong stakeholder management with Product, Engineering, Implementation, and Support teams

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Payments, Banking, Reconciliation, or Financial Operations
• Exposure to API documentation tools
• Knowledge of workflow documentation and process mapping
• Familiarity with release management documentation

Education

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation.
