Technical Writer Operating Systems
Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC)
- India Full-time Contract / Deputation 6 Months
About the role
C-DAC is looking for a seasoned Technical Writer to support our Operating Systems domain. You will own end-to-end documentation from system architecture descriptions and SRS/SDD to MeitY-ready government reports working closely with kernel engineers, system architects, and programme managers. If you can translate complex OS internals into precise, audit-ready documentation, this role is for you.
What we're looking for
- 78 years of technical writing experience, ideally in OS, systems software, or embedded systems
- B.Tech/B.E. in CS, IT, or ECE or a degree in English/Journalism with strong technical experience
- Hands-on with IEEE 830, IEEE 1016, and MIL-STD-498 documentation standards
- Prior exposure to MeitY or defence/PSU programme documentation is a strong advantage
- M.Tech, MBA, or CPTC/ISTC certification preferred
