Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Technical Superintendent to lead the safe, reliable, and cost-effective management of oil/product tanker fleet. This shore-based role is the critical link between ship and shoreensuring vessels are always seaworthy, compliant, and operating at peak performance.

What will you do?

Act as the primary technical point of contact for assigned vessels, supporting Masters and Chief Engineers.

Oversee day-to-day technical and operational maters: maintenance, repairs, spares, stores, surveys, and inspections.

Drive PMS compliance to keep machinery in top condition and vessels incident-free.

Ensure all certifications and class requirements are up to date.

Plan and supervise dry docking, surveys, and repairs, including budget control and post-docking reports.

Conduct vessel performance analysis and advise on fuel and lube oil trends.

Manage operating costs within budget without compromising safety.

Lead incident/accident investigations, implement preventive measures, and close out risk assessments.

Initiate and oversee Management of Change (MOC) for vessel modifications and new installations.

Collaborate closely with owners, charterers, surveyors, contractors, and internal teams.

The must haves

MEO Class I COC

Should have sailed as a Chief Engineer.

Minimum 1 year experience as Technical Superintendent in Shore.

Experience in Bulk cape size carrier vessel

Comfortable with Microsoft Office & reporting systems
