Job Description

Area(s) of responsibility

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop RESTful Web APIs / SOAP Web Services using .NET (C#)
Build secure endpoints to receive XML request payloads from external systems
Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms for API consumers
Parse, validate, and process incoming XML data
Store XML/data files securely on the server file system
Ensure proper error handling, logging, and monitoring
Implement API security measures (rate limiting, input validation, etc.)
Write clear JIRA user stories, tasks, and technical documentation
Collaborate with QA team and support testing activities (SIT/UAT)
Work closely with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
Troubleshoot and support production issues

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong experience with C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core / .NET 6+
Hands-on experience building secure Web APIs or SOAP services
Experience implementing API authentication & authorization (OAuth 2.0, JWT, API Keys)
Proficiency in XML parsing (XDocument, XmlReader, serialization/deserialization)
Experience with file handling and I/O operations in .NET
