About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager with 1012 years of IT experience to lead the successful delivery of large-scale software development projects. The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background in Microservices Architecture, Node.js or Python, and Docker, enabling them to effectively collaborate with engineering teams while driving project execution, stakeholder communication, and Agile delivery.
This role requires a proactive leader who can manage cross-functional teams, oversee project planning and execution, mitigate risks, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise software projects from requirement gathering through deployment and post-production support.
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Architects, Engineering, QA, DevOps, and Business stakeholders.
- Drive Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Create and maintain project plans, release schedules, risk registers, and status reports.
- Identify project risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks while implementing mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate multiple engineering teams to ensure smooth execution and timely releases.
- Ensure adherence to SDLC processes, coding standards, quality benchmarks, and best engineering practices.
- Track project metrics and provide regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Support solution discussions and technical decision-making with engineering teams.
- Mentor team leads and foster a collaborative, high-performance work culture.
- Drive continuous process improvements to enhance delivery efficiency.
Mandatory Technical Skills
- 1012 years of overall IT experience with significant experience managing software development projects.
- Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture and distributed systems.
- Hands-on development experience with Node.js or Python.
- Practical experience with Docker and containerized application deployment.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, system integrations, and scalable application design.
- Experience managing Agile software development teams.
- Expertise in project planning, estimation, resource management, budgeting, and risk management.
- Hands-on experience with project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures, messaging platforms (Kafka/RabbitMQ), and scalable cloud-native applications.
- Experience working in Product, SaaS, or high-growth technology organizations.
- PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, or Agile certifications are highly preferred.
