Role Overview

Lead the organization-wide implementation of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA). Drive data privacy initiatives across data discovery, consent management, security controls, and regulatory compliance in collaboration with business, Risk, Legal, Compliance, and IT teams.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end DPDPA program delivery with defined timelines and milestones.

Oversee data discovery, classification, and enterprise data inventory.

Map data flows, storage, and processing activities across systems.

Implement consent management and Data Principal rights processes.

Translate regulatory requirements into policies, standards, and controls.

Drive implementation of privacy tools (data discovery, masking, encryption).

Deploy/configure AWS services (RDS, S3, EC2, Redshift, EKS) for remediation.

Manage stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional coordination.

Oversee SIT/UAT and ensure quality, defect resolution, and compliance readiness.

Conduct awareness and training on data privacy.

KPI's

Timely delivery of key workstreams (data discovery, remediation).

Effective implementation of data security controls.

Accuracy of enterprise data inventory and process flows.

Reduction in production defects and audit readiness.

Requirements

10+ years in project management and data governance.

Experience in data discovery, classification, and lifecycle management.

Knowledge of privacy technologies (masking, encryption, anonymization).

Familiarity with DPDPA; Life Insurance domain preferred.

AWS knowledge (RDS, S3, EC2, Redshift, EKS).

Certifications (CIPP/CIPM/PMP) preferred.

Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
