The Mission

Most mechanical engineers spend their careers working on hardware that sits still or moves only in 2D.

At Axial Aero, we build full-motion simulators, 6 plus DOF platforms, that surge, sway, heave, tilt, rotate, and accelerate a crew through 360 degrees of physical force in all 3 dimensions simulating fighter jets, helicopters, commercial airliners, rocket crew modules - all on the ground, with millisecond latency.

This is the closest thing to a real cockpit or a crew module hurtling back through atmosphere - that exists outside an actual aircraft. Every safety margin depends on your analysis, every installation is based on your design, and every visualisation has your signature behind it.

We're a small, deeply technical team moving fast. People here own problems end-to-end: concept design prototype field deployment. If you've been waiting to design and build deep-tech machines that will inspire generations of Indians this is it.

What You'll Build

Your primary focus: a field-deployable aviation simulation platform capable of full-motion, 6-DOF, multi-axis 360-degree motion, centrifuges capable of 20G or just large Igloo sized domes all designed for pilot training and operational readiness. Specifically, you will:

Design and analyse cockpit-size structural assemblies subjected to high-velocity centrifugal loading and multi-axis dynamic forces

Own the mechanical architecture across the full lifecycle - from first sketch through FEA validation, prototype build, and field commissioning

Define materials, tolerances, and fastening strategies with supply chain realities in mind

Collaborate directly with embedded engineers, software architects, aerodynamics leads and project managers, all in the same technical conversation

Contribute to a multidisciplinary knowledge base spanning materials, electronics, human physiology, aviation medicine, firmware, and AI

Depending on the programme, this role opens access very few engineers ever see:

Restricted civil and military aerospace facilities

Direct interaction with operators in the field

Real feedback from pilots and crew who have actually flown the aircraft or trained for space orbit

You may also have the privilege of working alongside decorated officers of the Indian Armed Forces, contributing directly to Bharat's Aatmanirbharata in aerospace.

What You Bring

Non-Negotiable

Mechanical Engineering Depth:

You visualize large structures in 3D motion - and can dive deep into the calculations

You have knowledge of materials, forces and stresses - and the complex relationships

You know when to use or not use welds, rivets and bolts - and knows what happens if those fail.

FEA is not a checkbox; it's how you think.

Product Ownership from Concept to Field:

You can take a product all the way through

You know everything that connects to the structure welded nut to the micro-controller

You can deal with constraints - supply chains, costs, people and time

Strong Advantage

Proficiency in SolidWorks and multi-body dynamics

Experience with global and Indian supply chains, specifically with Indias industrial clusters.

Hands-on leadership - mentoring and building with the team, not just mechanical.
