Were hiring a Technical Lead Database Engineering to drive architecture, standards, and delivery across enterprise data platforms. This role blends deep hands-on database expertise with team leadership, focusing on scalable, high-performance solutions in modern cloud environments.

What Youll Do

• Lead database architecture, design standards, and best practices
• Design & optimize high-performance, scalable database solutions
• Own data modelling (relational, dimensional, SCD) and schema design
• Drive performance tuning (query optimization, indexing, execution plans)
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines and reporting layers
• Lead code reviews, mentoring, and technical governance
• Implement CI/CD for database deployments (DACPAC, Flyway, Liquibase)
• Drive cloud migration & modernization initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions

What Were Looking For

• 710 years in database development with 2+ years in a lead role
• Strong expertise in T-SQL / PL-SQL & performance engineering
• Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar platforms
• Hands-on with cloud data platforms: Azure SQL, Synapse, Snowflake, or Redshift
• Advanced skills in query optimization, indexing & partitioning
• Proven experience in team leadership & stakeholder management

Good to Have

• Experience with Azure Data Factory / SSIS / Databricks
• Knowledge of NoSQL (MongoDB, Cosmos DB, Cassandra)
• Exposure to Lakehouse, CDC, Kafka, or real-time data pipelines
• Familiarity with Power BI, data governance, and lineage tools
