Job Description
We are seeking a Technical Lead to own and drive Azure Data Platform Operations. The role is
responsible for platform stability, incident resolution, performance optimization, and operational
excellence across the Azure data estate. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise
in Azure Databricks, Synapse Analytics, SSIS, SQL troubleshooting, and ADLS Gen2, along with
experience leading support teams in production environments.
The candidate will lead real-time incident management, root cause analysis, operational governance,
and stakeholder communication while ensuring SLA adherence during EST hours.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of experience in Data Platform Support / Operations
- Strong hands-on expertise in Azure Databricks and Spark troubleshooting
- Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, SQL Pools, and Pipelines
- Advanced SQL troubleshooting and performance tuning experience
- Strong understanding of ADLS Gen2, Git, and CI/CD practices
Nice to Have Skills
Azure Data Factory (ADF)
Power BI / SSAS administration exposure
Automation scripting using Python or PowerShell
Roles & Responsibilities
- Own platform health, availability, and operational support for Azure data platforms
- Lead troubleshooting of ETL/ELT failures, Spark notebook issues, SQL performance issues,and SSIS package failures
- Drive RCA activities and implement preventive actions for recurring production issues
- Lead support teams, manage major incidents, shift handovers, and stakeholder communications
Additional Notes / Remarks
- Candidate must be willing to work in EST / US Shift timings
- Strong production support and incident management experience required
- Experience in handling critical production environments and SLA-driven operations is preferred
- Exposure to ITIL processes and operational governance is an advantage
