About ProU

ProU is an AI-powered industrial safety studies and engineering workflow platform focused on modernizing and automating complex engineering processes across HAZOP, SIL, Bowtie, and related safety studies. The platform combines AI, workflow orchestration, engineering intelligence, document processing, collaboration systems, and enterprise-grade automation into a unified SaaS platform.

We are looking for a strong Technical Lead / Architect who can be part of the core technical execution and product engineering while working closely with the CTO on architecture, engineering strategy, scalability, and delivery.

Role Overview

The Technical Lead / Architect will play a key role in designing, building, and scaling the ProU platform across frontend, backend, AI systems, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise workflows.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role requiring both strong architectural thinking and execution capability. The ideal candidate should be capable of converting product vision into scalable enterprise-grade systems while leading engineering implementation and technical direction.

The role will work directly with the CTO and act as the primary technical execution lead for the platform.

Key Responsibilities Product & Platform Architecture

• Design and evolve the overall system architecture for the ProU platform
• Define scalable cloud-native and microservices-based architecture patterns
• Lead architecture decisions across frontend applications, backend systems, AI services, workflow orchestration, and integrations
• Ensure scalability, maintainability, reliability, performance, and security of the platform
• Define engineering standards, technical guidelines, and development best practices

AI & Enterprise Product Engineering

• Architect and lead development of enterprise-grade AI-powered SaaS platforms
• Drive end-to-end product engineering across web platforms, backend systems, cloud infrastructure, AI services, and workflow orchestration
• Design modular and scalable product architectures supporting enterprise deployments
• Lead implementation of intelligent automation systems involving AI/LLMs, document intelligence, workflow engines, and validation pipelines
• Build systems for workflow automation, engineering intelligence, analytics, collaboration, and operational visibility
• Define scalable integration strategies with enterprise systems and third-party platforms
• Architect scalable APIs, distributed systems, event-driven workflows, and asynchronous processing pipelines
• Work closely with AI/ML engineers to operationalize AI capabilities into production-grade systems

Technical Leadership & Delivery

• Lead technical execution across releases and engineering milestones
• Translate product requirements into technical implementation plans
• Mentor and guide engineering teams on architecture and engineering best practices
• Conduct technical design reviews and architecture discussions
• Drive engineering quality, code standards, CI/CD practices, and DevOps maturity
• Coordinate with product, UI/UX, AI, and engineering teams to ensure successful delivery

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Design and manage scalable cloud infrastructure and deployment architecture
• Lead DevOps, monitoring, observability, logging, and operational excellence initiatives
• Optimize platform performance, reliability, scalability, and infrastructure costs
• Support secure and enterprise-ready deployment practices

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with the CTO on technical strategy, roadmap, and execution priorities
• Participate in customer discussions, solution workshops, and technical demonstrations where required
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across engineering and domain teams

Required Skills & ExperienceTechnical Expertise:

8+ years of experience in software engineering and technical architecture

Strong experience building enterprise SaaS or large-scale web platforms

Expertise in distributed systems and microservices architecture

Strong backend architecture and API design experience

Experience with modern frontend frameworks and cloud-native systems

Strong experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms

Experience with containerized deployments and DevOps workflows

Strong understanding of scalable database and storage architectures

AI & Modern Engineering

Experience integrating AI/LLM-based systems into enterprise applications

Familiarity with workflow automation, document intelligence, or AI-driven enterprise platforms

Understanding of orchestration pipelines, validation workflows, and scalable AI integration patterns

Leadership & Execution

Strong hands-on engineering and problem-solving capability

Ability to independently drive technical execution and product delivery

Experience mentoring engineering teams and leading technical initiatives

Strong ownership mindset and ability to work in fast-paced product environments

Excellent communication and technical documentation skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in consulting, enterprise solution architecture, or client-facing technical leadership roles
• Experience handling enterprise customer engagements, solution workshops, and technical discovery sessions
• Exposure to industrial engineering, manufacturing, oil & gas, infrastructure, or process industries will be an advantage
• Experience building AI-first enterprise platforms or workflow automation products preferred
• Startup or high-growth product company experience preferred
