Technical Designer

We're looking for a Technical Designer at Technosports!

Location: Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu

Experience: 10+ years in technical design or garment tech role.

Job Summary

The Technical Designer bridges the gap between design and production by translating

creative concepts into accurate technical specifications. This role ensures garments are

constructed correctly, fit well, and are production-ready while maintaining design intent and

quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and update detailed tech packs (measurements, construction details, BOM).
• Interpret design sketches into technical specifications.
• Review and approve samples (proto, fit,).
• Conduct fit sessions and provide corrective feedback.
• Collaborate with designers, pattern makers, and vendors.
• Ensure consistency in fit, sizing, and grading.
• Identify and resolve garment construction issues.
• Maintain size specs and grading rules.
• Communicate technical requirements to factories/vendors.
• Track sample development timelines and approvals.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Fashion Design, Apparel Technology, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in technical design or garment tech role.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction and fit.
• Proficiency in creating tech packs.
• Understanding of fabrics, trims, and production processes.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CAD tools (Opitex, CLO).
• Knowledge of pattern making and grading.
• Experience in export/buying house setup.
• Familiarity with international sizing standards.
