Job Description
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Timeliness and accuracy of news publishing (breaking news turnaround time, error rate).
Overall traffic and engagement growth for news content (pageviews, time on page, bounce
rate, returning visitors).
Performance of top stories and key sections under the editors control.
Consistency and quality of headlines, intros, and overall language quality.
Smoothness of newsroom operations: adherence to editorial calendar, fewer rework cycles,
ontime publishing.
Editorial & Technical Skills
Solid understanding of news judgement, story selection, and prioritisation for a Tamil news
audience.
Handson experience with any news/content CMS (WordPress or similar) and basic
understanding of how websites and social integrations work.
Comfort using basic analytics or dashboards to review content performance and make
editorial decisions.
Language Skills
Strong fluency in Tamil (reading, writing, and editing) is mandatory.
Ability to write sharp headlines, intros, and social copy in Tamil; basic English for
coordination and tools.
