What you will achieve

As an Integration Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain integrations across enterprise systems and applications in the health domain.

You will:

  • Help scale Dedalus’ technical capabilities to meet the evolving needs of global healthcare providers.

  • Design, develop, and manage integrations between internal and external information systems using a variety patterns, standards, and integration platforms commonly found in the healthcare sector.

  • Troubleshoot integration issues, perform root cause analysis, and apply long-term fixes.

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including integration specifications and data flow diagrams.

  • Ensure integration solutions follow security, compliance, and best practice architectural standards.

  • Support migration of legacy integrations to modern platforms or cloud services.

  • Support continuous improvement of Dedalus integration methodologies, standards, and tools.

  • Work as part of a cross-functional project team collaborating across time zones.

What you’ll need to succeed

Essential requirements

  • At least 5-7 years of experience in system integration or related engineering roles – healthcare preferred.

  • Knowledge of healthcare messaging standards and integration technologies: HL7 v2.x, HL7 FHIR

  • Hands on programming experience in Java, C# or similar languages. 

  • Experience in the use of Structured Query Language (SQL). 

  • Experience on both the Windows and Linux platforms. 

  • Experience with REST APIs, JSON, XML, and authentication standards such as OAuth2.

  • Experience using integration engines such as Rhapsody, Viaduct, Mirth, or similar platforms.

  • Strong documentation skills and an ability to follow structured development practices.

  • Excellent communication and time management skills, with experience working in distributed or remote teams.

  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written).

  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) is an advantage.
