Job Description
The team is looking for a system design engineer who is responsible for the design and
deployment of systems, which carry out calibration and performance validation of different
sensors on an iPhone. You will be responsible for the full spectrum of the
lifecycle of the test system - from prototyping to deployment at mass production. You will work
closely with the design group to define calibration and test procedures, and design
high precision instrumentation & systems to be able to perform this effectively in a factory
environment.

You will be responsible for the design specification, bring up, validation and deployment
of automated instrumentation to calibrate and test Apples products through NPI and
mass production.
Knowledge, coupled with experience in designing calibration and test solutions in
motion, optical, camera, display, touch or other sensing technology
Work with our mechanical engineering team to specify and validate the required
mechanical fixtures & automation systems
Develop, debug, and optimize automation software
Run simulations/ DOEs to make data driven decisions & presenting to management
Analyze large amounts of data generated from your instrument systems and adopt
data-driven approaches to solving engineering challenges
Perform failure mode root cause analysis and resolution, debugging from the system
level down to the component level
