System Administrative Engineer

About Position:

We are seeking a Senior System Administrator with strong expertise in managing cloud and on-prem infrastructure environments. The role focuses on ensuring system stability, performance, and operational excellence through proactive monitoring, automation, and advanced troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Windows, Linux, and AWS, along with the ability to manage complex incidents, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior engineers in a 24/7 support environment.

What You'll Do:

• Manage day-to-day administration and support of cloud and on-prem infrastructure
• Administer, troubleshoot, and optimize Windows and Linux server environments
• Perform installations, upgrades, patching, and performance tuning
• Monitor infrastructure health using tools and dashboards, and proactively prevent incidents
• Handle L2/L3 incidents within SLA and lead resolution for high-severity issues
• Participate in major incident calls, ensuring effective communication and RCA documentation
• Provide advanced support across OS, networking, virtualization, and cloud platforms
• Perform network troubleshooting involving DNS, TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, and load balancers
• Support AWS cloud operations including provisioning, monitoring, and issue resolution
• Manage incidents, changes, and problems using ITSM tools aligned with ITIL processes
• Plan and execute maintenance, upgrades, and patching with minimal downtime
• Conduct capacity planning, performance analysis, and availability reporting
• Drive automation and process improvements using scripting tools
• Maintain updated documentation including SOPs, runbooks, and configurations
• Collaborate with cloud, network, security, and application teams
• Mentor junior engineers and support team skill development

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 510 years of experience in system administration across Windows and Linux environments
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud operations
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring, alerting, and performance management
• Knowledge of ITSM tools and ITIL-based processes (incident, problem, change management)
• Experience in automation and scripting using Shell, PowerShell, or Python
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in 247 production support environments
• Ability to create and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and technical documentation
• Good understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and handle complex technical challenges
