Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The candidate will be in the role of Senior Support Engineer, having a deep understanding of IT best practices and a constant thirst for new information. You will work in a fast-paced environment handling a team comprising of Support and DevOps engineers to provide support to our clients. In this role, you will work directly with the teams for implementing strategies to increase profitability and productivity. In this role you will play a vital role to provide up-front, timely, and efficient solutions to complex technical situations resulting in exceptional client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and an innovative thinker with a strong focus on client relationship, quality of delivery and a continuous focus on improving existing processes, procedures and applications.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILL SETS
Effective player coach with an ability to hold both playing (be it a part of daily operational activities or Incident and Problem management) and coaching duties to mentor the team
Managing client expectations and provide updates to internal and external stakeholders on monthly and quarterly basis and highlight any areas of improvement.
Evaluate and assess strategic solutions that leverage new and emerging technologies that drive process automation and improve organization effectiveness and efficiencies
Collaborate with leaders throughout the business and ultimately drive the implementation of IT processes and systems that will enable a productive environment
Monitor the teams performance, ensuring efficiency and client satisfaction, assessing the performance of the workforce, resolving complex issues and identifying newer client needs.
Experience required 0-4+ years in IT industry.Experience with and interest in financial markets
Strong understanding of SDLC and Architecture.
Experience working with monitoring tools like Splunk, ELK, Grafana, SolarWinds etc
Hands-on experience with Linux servers (Ubuntu/RedHat Enterprise Linux)
Hands-on experience with cloud Infrastructure such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management
Attention to detail, curiosity and experience in troubleshooting issues
Extensive background in development and delivering complex projects throughout the lifecycle.
Empathy for clients needs with strong negotiation and presentation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical problems to nontechnical audiences
Exposure to at least one of the following languages: Python, JavaScript, C, C++, Golang
EDUCATION
Bachelors degree or masters in computer science, Engineering, Software Engineering or a relevant field
