Responsibilities/Skillsets:

Hands on experience in analysis design of steel components in buildings like high-rises, stadiums, pedestrian bridges, airports, malls, industrial sheds etc.
Knowledge of international Codes and Standards
Understanding of loads & load paths
Understanding of Seismic and Wind load parameters with code design approaches
Knowledge of various steel profiles used internationally.
Knowledge about Steel connections to concrete.
Ability to work in a team, lead a team of junior engineers and technicians to deliver quality drawings and documents.
Preparation of technical reports & presentations
Preparation of Bill of Quantities
Prepare Design criteria reports, presentations.
Good communication skills and interpersonal skills in English.
Should be open for short travel and deputation to other countries/offices, when required.
Technical report writing skills.
Exposure to construction techniques and practices
Ability to read and comprehend drawings of other trades Architectural, MEP etc.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve structural engineering problems encountered during design process.
Stay updated on the latest industry trends.

Requirements:

Candidate should have core design experience of 3+ years mainly in design of steel structures.
Good experience of using software like SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD-Pro, Idea Statica, Ram connection, Limcon etc.
Knowledge of Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD
Work experience in Gulf countries with international codes preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters degree in structural engineering from reputed institute preferably through GATE qualification
