Sr. Technical Project Manager

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager (TPM) with a strong foundation in Data Engineering, Software Development, and Data/Application migration experience to lead multiple projects. This role requires a blend of technical depth, project management expertise, and stakeholder leadership to drive end-to-end execution of data initiatives across cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project & Program Management

• Lead end-to-end delivery of data platform/application development , migration, and modernization projects.
• Define project scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
• Manage multiple concurrent data initiatives across domains.
• Track progress, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery within budget.

2. Technical Leadership

• Leverage hands-on experience in data/application engineering and development to guide teams.
• Review architecture, design, and implementation approaches.
• Create and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Bridge the gap between architecture, engineering, and business teams.

4. Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and architects.
• Translate business requirements into technical execution plans.
• Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and outcomes.
• Manage client expectations and ensure high customer satisfaction.

5. Agile & Delivery Excellence

• Drive Agile/Scrum execution (Sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).
• Ensure high-quality deliverables through code reviews, testing strategies, and release management.
• Define, track and report KPIs and SLAs for delivery.

6. Risk & Dependency Management

• Identify and mitigate technical and delivery risks proactively.
• Manage cross-team dependencies (application, data, infra, DevOps, BI).
• Ensure smooth coordination across distributed teams.

7. DevOps & Operational Excellence

• Promote CI/CD practices for data pipelines and applications.
• Ensure monitoring, alerting, and incident management processes are in place.
• Drive automation and efficiency improvements.

Roles & Responsibilities

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Background (Must-Have)

• Strong experience in Data Engineering and Software Development.
• Hands-on knowledge of:
• Data pipelines (ETL/ELT)
• Data modeling & warehousing
• SQL and programming (Python / Java / Scala)
• Java/Python application development with Microservices
• Understanding of distributed systems and big data processing (e.g., Spark).

Data Platform Expertise

• Experience delivering solutions on modern data platforms:
• Data Lakes / Lakehouse architectures
• Data Warehouses
• Exposure to data orchestration tools (Airflow or similar).

Cloud Experience (Any one mandatory)

• AWS / Azure / GCP experience with data services such as:
• Storage, compute, and analytics services
• Managed data platforms

Project Management Skills

• Proven experience managing complex technical projects.
• Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies.
• Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
• Should have led GenAI related programs to enhance the teams productivity
• Should be able to manage the gross margin, resource planning and management, risk and contingency management, Customer satisfaction management.
• Should be able to write, review and implement SOWs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with tools/platforms such as, Java, Python, Spring Boot, Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery.
• Exposure to streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub).
• Knowledge of DevOps tools (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Certification in PMP / Scrum Master / Cloud platforms.
