Job Description

Role : APM Engineering

Requirement:

• Asset Planning:
  • Work to determine the best blueprints and verify the customer has provided the necessary documentation to complete the project.
  • Work with client to determine the correct structure of the assets in each instance/site, prior to loading the assets and the asset data.

• Asset Creation - Tag Mapping:
  • Map tags from customer DCS or Historian to corresponding tags in SmartSignal/APM-RM Blueprint.
  • Map tags from customer DCS/Historian to SmartSignal templates, using tag lists, DCS Screenshots, and P&IDs. Mapping is done in excel with a predefined format.
  • Interpret Process and Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and Distributed Control Systems (DCS) screenshots and plant data to identify asset components.
  • Perform tag mapping quality control review of other engineers.

• Asset Creation - Build:
  • Create the assets and documentation required.
  • Setup external timeseries for APM customers to fetch the data from input source.
  • Move assets to production system and confirm live data flowing.

• Asset Review:
  • Support design review with customer to review tag mapping results and adjust based on customer feedback.

• Reliability Maintenance Analytic Deployment:
  • Build models by analyzing historical data and filtering out bad and fault-related data.
  • Tune models by adjusting operating thresholds and adding/removing operating data in the model.
  • Run Quality Control statistical reports and update models to conform to standards.
  • Build models using subject matter knowledge of data patterns in equipment signals.
  • Setup the calculated variables and threshold limits using best practices and engineering equipment knowledge.
  • Set sensor Alarm Limits for each asset, as provided by customer or defaults in associated blueprint.
  • Filter & stripe data (remove bad data).
  • Run QC reports and make indicated corrections to assets and models.

• Reliability Maintenance Analytic Optimization:
  • Action on Asset Reconfiguration Workflows as assigned.

Skills & Education:

• Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Chemical, or Aviation preferred)
• Industry experience in Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Mining, or Manufacturing (>2 years)
• Experience in Reliability Engineering, Monitoring Assets, or Maintenance of Rotating or Process Equipment (see list below)
