Role Description

Exercising independent judgment, the Report Writer/Data Administrator supports both technical and business personnel to design, maintain, produce and publish business intelligence (BI) reports through SQL Server Reporting Services, Microsoft Transactional SQL (TSQL), and IIS / ASP web services. Reports range from ad hock single use reports or various departments / managers to the establishment and maintenance of core business reporting that is available on demand.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong ownership, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and comfort working in a US-overlap shift up to 11:30 PM IST.

Qualifications

• Establish and maintain reporting standards and formats.
• Maintain the report servers.
• Quality of reporting is a primary objective. Ensure the consistency and accuracy of published reports. Individual reports must be validated and provide the same results when reporting the same information across multiple reports.
• Prepare and maintain documentation outlining the technical basis for report construction and means of producing results.
• Create complex and ad-hoc reports using SSRS, including parameterized dashboards.
• Writing optimized SQL queries, views, and stored procedures to extract data from
• SQL Server databases.
• Work directly with end users and department managers to achieve needed information.
• Establish, maintain and archive (warehouse) data.
• 4 years or more experience is required in development, publication and editing of business intelligence reporting, I/S technical writing and end user documentation.

• Ability to initiate and maintain communicative relationships with end users,
• managers and I/S personnel in non-technical language.
• Excellent understanding of Accounting (GAAP) and related transactional processes.
• Strong experience with SQL database administration, and Data Warehousing
• General knowledge and understanding of product distribution processes.
