Role description

The Salesforce Senior Marketing Cloud Developer is responsible for designing developing and optimizing scalable datadriven marketing automation solutions using Salesforce Marketing Cloud The role focuses on handson development across email mobile and digital channels deep data modeling integrations and advanced personalization while ensuring performance security and compliance

Key Responsibilities

Salesforce Marketing Cloud Development

Design and develop solutions using Salesforce Marketing Cloud modules

Email Studio

Automation Studio

Journey Builder

Mobile Studio SMS Push

Personalization Interaction Studio good to have

Implement complex customer journeys using Journey Builder with entry sources decision splits and engagement logic

Develop email templates landing pages microsites and preference centers using

AMPscript

SSJS

HTML CSS

Build and optimize Automation Studio workflows using SQL scripting and activities

Data Management Architecture

Design scalable data extensions and contact models

Write complex SQL queries for segmentation audience building and personalization

Implement data ingestion and synchronization from Salesforce SalesService Cloud and external systems

Ensure data quality performance optimization and governance within SFMC

Integrations API Development

Design and implement integrations using

REST SOAP APIs

Marketing Cloud Connect

Web services for eventbased triggers

Integrate SFMC with CRM ecommerce CDP and thirdparty systems

Support realtime and batch integration patterns

Handle error management retries and monitoring

Personalization Automation Analytics

Implement dynamic content personalization logic and advanced segmentation

Support behavioral and eventdriven marketing use cases

Enable tracking reporting and performance analytics for campaigns

Collaborate on AB testing and optimization strategies

Agile Delivery Technical Leadership

Participate in sprint planning backlog grooming and estimations

Translate marketing and business requirements into technical designs

Conduct code reviews and mentor junior SFMC developers

Collaborate with architects BAs CRM teams and marketing stakeholders

Testing Deployment Support

Support QA UAT and postdeployment validation

Troubleshoot production issues and provide L2L3 support

Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations GDPR CANSPAM etc

Maintain technical documentation and reusable assets

Required Skills Experience

Salesforce Marketing Cloud Skills

46 years of handson experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud

Strong expertise in

AMPscript SSJS SQL

Journey Builder and Automation Studio

Email Studio and Mobile Studio

Experience with Marketing Cloud Connect SFMC SalesService Cloud

Strong understanding of subscriber management lists and data extensions

Technical Programming Skills

HTML CSS JavaScript

API integration and eventdriven architecture

Data modeling and performance optimization for large datasets

Tools Methodologies

Agile Scrum delivery

Gitbased version control

Jira Azure DevOps Confluence

Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problemsolving skills

Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities
