Job Summary
Seeking a Specialist with 5 to 7 years of experience in Windows Server administration and expertise in Azure Virtual Desktop within the DesktopengineeringWVD family
Job Description
Manage and maintain Windows Server environments ensuring high availability security and optimal performance Deploy configure and support Azure Virtual Desktop environments to provide seamless virtual desktop infrastructure Implement security patches functional updates and version upgrades to maintain system integrity Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate desktop engineering solutions with existing IT infrastructure Monitor system health and performance proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime Document system configurations procedures and troubleshooting guides for team use Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize deployment and management processes
Roles and Responsibilities
Install configure and maintain Windows Server operating systems across single and multidomain platforms Administer Active Directory Group Policy Objects GPOs DNS DHCP and related network services Perform troubleshooting problemsolving and hardening of Windows servers to enhance security and reliability Provide L2 support and assist L1 teams by creating SOPs and resolving escalated issues Participate in 24x7 shift rotations and oncall support to ensure continuous service availability Use automation tools and scripting eg PowerShell to streamline server and virtual desktop management Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for upgrades firmware management and infrastructure enhancements Ensure backup and disaster recovery mechanisms are implemented and tested regularly Support Azure Virtual Desktop deployment configuration and ongoing maintenance Monitor and manage virtual desktop infrastructure performance and user experience
