About the Role

We are looking for a C++ Linux Middleware Engineer with strong experience in Linux-based systems and middleware development. The role focuses on designing, developing, and integrating middleware components that enable reliable communication between applications, operating systems, and hardware platforms, preferably in embedded and automotive environments.

What You Will Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain middleware components using C++ on Linux platforms.
  • Develop and integrate inter-process communication (IPC) mechanisms and system services.
  • Work closely with OS, platform, application, and hardware teams for middleware integration.
  • Debug and resolve system-level, performance, and stability issues.
  • Optimize middleware for performance, memory usage, and real-time constraints.
  • Support integration of middleware with drivers, services, and applications.
  • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and CI/CD workflows.
  • Work in Agile-based development environments following best engineering practices.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Strong programming experience in C++ (modern C++ preferred).
  • Solid experience working on Linux-based systems.
  • Experience in middleware development or system-level software.
  • Strong understanding of Linux OS fundamentals, including:
    • Processes and threads
    • Memory management
    • IPC (DBus, sockets, shared memory, message queues, etc.)
  • Experience in debugging using tools such as gdb, valgrind, or similar.
  • Familiarity with build systems (CMake, Make, Yocto/BitBake is a plus).
  • Good understanding of Git version control and CI/CD workflows.
  • Around 5 years of relevant experience in C++ and Linux-based development.

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience in embedded systems or automotive platforms.
  • Exposure to AUTOSAR (Classic or Adaptive) or automotive middleware layers.
  • Experience with POSIX, multi-threading, and real-time concepts.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, SOME/IP, DDS, etc.).
  • Experience with Yocto-based Linux distributions.
  • Exposure to containerization or virtualization on embedded Linux platforms.

What Makes You Eligible

  • 3 to 6 years of overall experience with strong focus on C++ Linux development.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related disciplines.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and multi-location teams.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
  • Experience delivering production-grade middleware or platform software.
