About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Automation Developer with 2–4 years of experience in software development and test automation. The ideal candidate should have strong programming skills in Kotlin/Java and Python, experience with Android Automotive OS (AAOS) or Android platforms, and hands-on expertise in CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining automation solutions for automotive infotainment and navigation systems, ensuring high product quality, robustness, and efficient testing processes.
What You Will Do
- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and test tools for Android / AAOS-based systems
- Develop and enhance automation scripts using Kotlin / Java and Python
- Automate functional, integration, and regression test scenarios
- Integrate automated test execution with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub
- Collaborate closely with development and QA teams to ensure automation readiness and feature testability
- Execute automated test suites and analyze results to identify defects and quality gaps
- Maintain and improve test infrastructure and automation coverage
- Debug issues using Android debugging tools, logs, and system traces
- Participate in code reviews and automation design discussions
- Contribute to continuous improvement of automation processes and testing strategies
What You Need to Be Successful
Programming & Scripting
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin or Java
- Good hands-on experience with Python scripting
Android / Automotive
- Experience with Android Automotive OS (AAOS) or Android-based systems
- Familiarity with Android development and debugging tools, including:
- ADB
- Android Studio
- Logcat
- Gradle
Automation & Testing
- Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals
- Experience with test automation frameworks
- Exposure to UI automation tools such as Appium or UIAutomator
- Knowledge of test case design techniques
CI/CD & DevOps
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Working knowledge of:
- GitHub
- Jenkins
- Familiarity with automated build and test pipelines
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience with AAOS test frameworks such as TradeFed or CATBox
- Experience working in Linux environments
- Knowledge of vehicle-level testing or Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) setups
- Exposure to AI-based testing or advanced automation techniques
- Prior experience with automotive infotainment or navigation systems
