Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
API Design & Development • Design, develop, and maintain Apigee API proxies, shared flows, and reusable policies aligned with enterprise standards. • Implement API security controls including OAuth 2.0/JWT, API keys, threat protection, and traffic management policies (quota/spike arrest). • Build and integrate backend services and callouts using Java where needed to support API orchestration and transformations. Testing, Deployment & Operations • Create and maintain automated tests for APIs, validate contract behavior, and ensure backward compatibility across versions. • Support CI/CD pipelines for API deployments across environments and manage configuration, KVMs, and environment-specific settings. • Monitor API performance and reliability using Apigee analytics/logs; troubleshoot latency, errors, and policy/runtime issues. Collaboration & Governance • Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, define API specifications, and document usage guidelines for consumers. • Participate in code reviews and contribute to API governance practices including naming conventions, versioning, and lifecycle management. • Communicate progress, risks, and technical decisions clearly to cross-functional teams.
