Snowflake Data Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain Snowflake SQL to support business requirements and product enhancements.
• Design and implement database schemas, tables, views, and stored procedures.
• Working knowledge with Streams, Task, Warehouse & JSON file formats
• Optimize Snowflake SQL queries and PL/SQL code for performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design solutions.
• Provide technical guidance to junior developers.
• Troubleshoot and debug production issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with coding standards, best practices, and security policies.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends related to Snowflake SQL and database development.
• Participate in on-call rotation for off-hours support as needed.

Skillsets Required:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or related fields.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in Snowflake/ SQL development.
• Proficiency in Oracle database technologies (Oracle 11g/12c/19c).
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Oracle certification (e.g., Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate), Snowflake Certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of Python will be an added advantage.
