Hiring: Site Head R&D Operations (CRO/CDMO Background Preferred)

Designation - AVP/VP level

Location - Hyderabad

We are looking for an experienced and business-oriented leader to manage overall R&D Site Operations for our Pharma R&D Centre.

The role requires a strong understanding of R&D environments, customer expectations, scientific operations support, compliance, and site governance. The ideal candidate should come from a CRO/CDMO background with exposure to managing complex R&D ecosystems and enabling high-performing scientific teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead overall R&D site operations to ensure seamless support for scientific and development activities.
• Partner closely with R&D leadership to drive operational efficiency, collaboration, and execution excellence.
• Build a strong customer-focused CRO/CDMO mindset across site operations and support functions.
• Ensure effective management of site infrastructure, engineering services, utilities, EHS, compliance, and operational governance.
• Support customer visits, audits, technical discussions, and business-critical programs.
• Drive operational excellence, productivity improvement, cost optimization, and service reliability.
• Strengthen cross-functional coordination between R&D, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and corporate teams.
• Lead site capability enhancement, infrastructure readiness, and future expansion initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, safety, and data integrity standards.
• Foster a high-accountability and performance-driven culture aligned with business objectives.

Desired Profile:

• PhD in Chemistry or PDF.
• 1825 years of experience in Pharma/CRO/CDMO industry.
• Strong exposure to R&D environments and scientific operations.
• Proven experience in complex site operations
• Strong understanding of customer-facing operations, project execution, and business expectations in CRO/CDMO setup.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, operational excellence, and business acumen.
• Exposure to site transformation, capability building, and growth initiatives will be an added advantage.
