Role: Should Costing Engineer / Sr. Should Costing Engineer

Experience: 6 10 Years

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech Mechanical / Automotive / Production / Mechatronics / Aeronautical

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop should cost models for Sheet Metal, Castings, Plastics, or Machining commodities
• Perform detailed cost breakdowns (material, labor, overhead, tooling)
• Support RFQ analysis & supplier negotiations with data-driven insights
• Analyze BOM and cost structures for accurate estimation
• Conduct teardown analysis & VA/VE activities with cost optimization proposals
• Evaluate cycle time, process costs, and manufacturing feasibility
• Validate supplier quotations & engage in cost discussions
• Work extensively on Excel-based costing models

Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge in any two commodities: Sheet Metal / Castings / Plastics / Machining
• Exposure to Wiring Harness & PCBA processes (basic level)
• Hands-on with aPriori / TcPCM / DFMEA (added advantage)
• Advanced MS Excel skills (formulas, pivots, data analysis)
• Experience in supplier sourcing & global market understanding
• Strong analytical & communication skills

Preferred Experience:

• Manufacturing background in sheet metal, casting, plastics, machining
• Expertise in cost estimation tools & ERP systems
• Exposure to global sourcing & supplier cost benchmarking
