Shopify Frontend Developer

[Contract] [Remote / Hybrid] [6 Months] [Technical Executor]

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be joining ETI Ekshvaku Tech Innovations Pvt Ltd, a team that works across design, technology, operations, and brand building. Your primary project from day one is The Joyful Chest, an in-house D2C gifting brand.

The Brand Designer sets the visual direction. Your job is to bring those designs to life precisely, responsively, and fast. You are the technical layer between a beautiful design file and a live shopping experience that actually converts. You won't be designing from scratch. You'll be building from spec and building it right matters just as much as the design itself.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

• Build and configure Shopify storefront from design files
• Implement custom sections, landing pages, and product pages
• Ensure full mobile responsiveness across all pages
• Upload and manage product listings with accuracy
• Build campaign and mystery box landing pages
• Implement basic SEO and page speed optimizations
• Optimize website performance for mobile experience, Core Web Vitals, and fast-loading customer journeys
• Troubleshoot and fix bugs as the site evolves
• Coordinate with the Brand Designer for pixel-accurate execution

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 24 years of Shopify development experience
• Portfolio of 2+ live D2C or e-commerce Shopify stores
• Proficiency in Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript
• Experience with custom theme development or heavy theme customisation
• Experience working with Shopify themes such as Dawn, Prestige, Impulse, or similar premium D2C themes is preferred
• Eye for design fidelity you notice when something is 2px off
• Strong attention to detail and ability to execute designs with pixel-level accuracy
• Comfortable working from Figma files
• Responsive and proactive communicator

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with Shopify apps for gifting, mystery boxes, or subscriptions
• Familiarity with Indian D2C market and payment gateway integrations (Razorpay, etc.)
• Familiarity with Shopify apps, analytics tools, and customer journey tracking tools is a plus (Hotjar, Klaviyo, GA4, conversion tracking)
• Basic understanding of conversion rate optimisation

What success looks like: The design file and the live site are indistinguishable. The pages load fast. The checkout works. On mobile it looks just as good as on desktop.

This role is not for general web developers unfamiliar with Shopify's ecosystem. Please share live store links when applying not just screenshots or mockups.
