ServiceNow Developer

Are you ready for a ServiceNow Developer role in India?

Key Responsibilities

• Support the end-to-end hardware asset lifecycle (procurement, deployment, maintenance, retirement, and disposal).
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date asset records in HAM/ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow HAM, Flexera, BMC Remedy).
• Conduct regular audits, reconciliations, and compliance checks to ensure asset data accuracy.
• Collaborate with procurement, finance, and IT operations teams to align asset management with organizational policies and budgets.
• Track hardware performance, warranties, contracts, and renewals to minimize risk and optimize usage.
• Generate reports and dashboards on asset inventory, utilization, and compliance for leadership.
• Assist in defining and improving HAM processes, policies, and controls in line with ITIL/ITAM best practices.
• Support compliance with regulatory, licensing, and security requirements related to IT hardware assets.

IT Service Management (ITSM)

• Experience in managing hardware asset lifecycle within ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow HAM, BMC Remedy, or Flexera, ensuring accurate asset records.
• Knowledge of CMDB (Configuration Management Database) integration, ensuring assets are correctly linked to services and changes.
• Coordination with ITSM processes (Change, Incident, Problem, Request Fulfillment) to ensure asset data is updated when changes occur.
• Supporting change management processes by validating hardware dependencies and assessing risks before approval.
• Tracking hardware incidents and problems to identify recurring issues and recommend asset refresh or replacement.
• Assisting in service request fulfillment for hardware provisioning, deployment, and decommissioning.
• Ensuring compliance and audit readiness by aligning HAM processes with ITIL/ITSM governance frameworks.
• Generating reports and dashboards in ITSM tools to provide insights into hardware utilization, compliance, and service impact.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of IT Asset Management (ITAM) frameworks and HAM best practices.
• Hands-on experience with HAM/ITSM tools (preferably ServiceNow HAM, Flexera, or equivalent).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Power Point, MS Excel/Power BI for asset reporting and data analysis.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 2-5 years of IT Service Management experience, with at least 2 years in a dedicated Hardware Asset Management role.
• ITIL Foundation certification required.
