Role Overview

Join Tata Electronics Pvt. Ltd., a global leader in electronics manufacturing, Server Admin in our TEPL location. you will design, deploy, and maintain robust Windows and Linux server environments, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade Windows and Linux server environments (physical and virtual).
Manage virtualization platforms like VMware vSphere/ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V, including VM provisioning, resource optimization, clustering, and HA/DR configurations.
Perform advanced troubleshooting of server, OS, and application issues across Windows and Linux systems.
Implement and manage patching, backup, and monitoring solutions for system reliability.
Lead infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning initiatives.
Collaborate with application, storage, network, and cloud teams on cross-functional IT projects.
Ensure compliance with IT security policies and standards (ISO, GDPR, etc.).
Automate routine tasks using PowerShell and Shell scripting.
Maintain detailed documentation of system architecture, procedures, and configurations.
Provide technical leadership and mentor L1 and L2 support teams.
Participate in 24x7 on-call support rotation for critical issues.

Essential Attributes

Windows Server Expertise: Proficient in Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and File Services.
Linux Expertise: Strong knowledge of Linux distributions (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu), including user management, services, networking, and storage.
Virtualization Expertise: Experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi, vCenter, Hyper-V, or equivalent platforms.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, BCA/MCA, or a related field.
Preferred Certifications (Nice to Have): Windows Server, VMware Certified, RHEL, ITIL.

Desired Experience

814 years of relevant experience in Windows, Linux, and virtualization environments.
