Job Title: Senior Vice President (SVP) Engineering, Generative AI

Job Location : Bangalore and Gurgaon (Can choose anyone)

Budget : 6 Cr - 8 Cr

Role Overview

We are looking for a visionary and execution-driven SVP Engineering (Generative AI) to lead the development of next-generation AI platforms and products. This role will define the technical strategy, scale engineering capabilities, and drive innovation across generative AI systems, enterprise platforms, and customer-facing solutions.

You will collaborate closely with product, data science, and infrastructure teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-impact AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership & Vision

• Define and execute the engineering roadmap for generative AI platforms and AI-driven products
• Establish best practices in system architecture, scalability, performance, and reliability
• Drive innovation aligned with long-term business and technology strategy

2. Product & Platform Engineering

• Architect and scale cloud-native platforms supporting:
• Generative AI models
• Conversational systems
• Personalization engines
• AI copilots and enterprise automation tools
• Ensure systems are designed for high availability, scalability, and performance

3. Ecosystem & Partnerships

• Collaborate with external AI partners, hyperscalers, and model providers
• Integrate cutting-edge AI/LLM capabilities into production systems
• Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to maintain competitive advantage

4. Cross-Functional Execution

• Partner with Product, Data Science, and Infrastructure teams
• Deliver secure, privacy-compliant, and multilingual AI solutions
• Enable AI use cases across customer experience, operations, and internal workflows

5. Operational Excellence

• Implement best practices in:
• Agile delivery
• CI/CD pipelines
• Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
• Observability and monitoring
• Ensure reliability, performance, and scalability of AI systems

6. Talent & Team Building

• Build and lead high-performing global engineering teams
• Attract, mentor, and retain top AI and engineering talent
• Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, and excellence

7. Governance & Responsible AI

• Establish frameworks for:
• AI ethics and compliance
• Bias mitigation and fairness
• Transparency and accountability
• Ensure adherence to global data privacy and regulatory standards

Required Qualifications

• 20+ years of experience in software engineering, with leadership roles in large-scale environments
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Generative AI / LLM-based systems
• Proven track record of building and scaling AI/ML platforms and distributed systems
• Strong expertise in:
• Cloud-native architecture
• Kubernetes and microservices
• APIs and distributed systems
• ML infrastructure and deployment pipelines
• Experience integrating third-party AI technologies into production
