Position Overview

CloudOS is Autodesks centralized platform for delivering internal services and code to production. As the platform scales, highquality, developercentric documentation becomes a critical multiplier for productivity, onboarding speed, and operational reliability.

Were hiring a Senior Content Experience Designer to own the strategy and execution of CloudOS technical documentationtransforming complex platform concepts (ADF, deployment pipelines, CDProxy, failover, observability, secret handling, and more) into clear, discoverable, and actionoriented experiences that developers trust and AI systems can readily consume.

Responsibilities

• Own the endtoend content strategy for CloudOS developer documentationsetting priorities, defining the roadmap, and driving measurable impact on developer productivity
• Create clear, practical developer docs including quickstarts, tutorials, reference material (ADF schemas, pipeline examples), runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and reusable bestpractice patterns
• Translate AI platform guidance into consistent, productionready content patterns optimized for consumption by both developers and AIdriven tools in live products
• Build scalable docsascode systems by maintaining example repos, starter templates, and automated pipelines that make CloudOS easy and safe to adopt
• Design taskfocused, interactive content (stepbystep guides, checklists, handson workflows) that gets developers to success faster in real CloudOS scenarios
• Shape information architecturenavigation, taxonomy, and searchso developers can quickly find what they need
• Partner closely with engineers to translate complex systems into approachable content: code samples, diagrams, YAML/JSON examples, and API/CLI referencesauthoring in Git and reviewing PRs
• Validate and improve docs with real users through developer interviews, surveys, and taskbased testing
• Measure what matterstime to first success, reduced support tickets, developer satisfactionand iterate using data
• Champion docsascode best practices across CloudOS, including CI for docs, environment versioning, example validation, and localization readiness

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience designing and producing developer-facing technical content for platform or infrastructure products, with a strong portfolio of tutorials, API/CLI references, and examples
• Deep expertise in content design and information architecture for complex technical systems, including breaking down endtoend workflows into clear, usable steps
• Handson experience with docsascode practices, including Git/GitHub, Markdown or AsciiDoc, and CIbased publishing workflowscomfortable authoring alongside engineers
• Working knowledge of cloud and platform engineering concepts (e.g., containers, ECS/EKS, serverless, Terraform, CI/CD, GitOps, IAM, observability) to create accurate, exampledriven documentation
• Strong developerfocused writing skillsclear instructions, meaningful examples, and actionable troubleshooting. Portfolio required
• Experience validating content with users, using usability feedback and metrics to drive continuous improvement
• Strong collaboration skills, working effectively across engineering, product, security, operations, and AI teams
• Comfort working independently and operating in ambiguity, driving content work endtoend from discovery through delivery and measurement
• Learning agilityability to quickly adopt Autodeskapproved AIassisted authoring tools and use them responsibly within established governance

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Application Definition Files (ADF) or similar declarative infrastructure descriptions (YAML/JSON, Jsonnet)
• Basic prototyping skills for interactive docs (Playgrounds, sandboxes) or experience integrating docs with CI to validate example code
• Background in UX writing or content strategy in developer tools or platform engineering

Salary is one part of Autodesks competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidates experience and geographic location.
