Learn more about Engineering, AI and Data Your work profile Were seeking a Virtualization SME to operate, optimize, and secure our SoftwareDefined Data Center (SDDC) platforms. Youll manage VMware vSphere/ESXi/vCenter, collaborate on NSXT and vSAN/SAN/NAS, drive lifecycle management, backup/DR readiness, and automationensuring availability, performance, and compliance for missioncritical workloads. SDDC Platform Operations Operate and maintainvSphere clusters(HA/DRS),ESXi hosts, andvCenter: patching, upgrades, health checks, HCL alignment. Perform VM lifecycle tasks: templates, cloning, snapshots (best practices), vMotion/Storage vMotion, resource rightsizing. SupportVCF/SDDC Managerdomain operations (if applicable). Networking (NSXT) Work with network teams onNSXTconstructs: segments, DFW security groups/policies, NAT, DHCP, LB basics; integrate with physical networks (VLANs, MTU). Troubleshoot connectivity, microsegmentation, and eastwest/northsouth traffic issues. Storage OperatevSAN(policies/SPBM, health, capacity, resync behavior) and integrate withSAN/NAS(FC/iSCSI/NFS). Monitor and tune storage performance (IOPS/throughput/latency) and plan capacity expansions. Backup, DR & Resilience Ensure VM and appaware backups usingVeeam/Commvault/Rubrik/Cohesity; maintain immutability and offsite copies as applicable. Participate inDR planning(SRM/HCX), maintain runbooks, and supportRPO/RTOaligned DR drills and restore testing. Security & Compliance Apply platform hardening (ESXi/vCenter/NSXT/vSAN),RBAC/least privilege, certificate/TLS management, and encryption controls. Remediate vulnerabilities and maintain audit/compliance evidence (ITIL/ISO/SOC as applicable). Automation & Observability Automate routine operations withPowerCLI/PowerShell,Ansible, andTerraform/Aria (vRA/vRO); maintain reusable modules/playbooks. Implement and tune monitoring/alerting usingAria Operations (vROps),vRLI,Splunk/ELK, orPrometheus/Grafana; publish health/capacity dashboards. KeepCMDB/asset inventories, diagrams, SOPs, and runbooks current. Operations Excellence ProvideL2/L3support, lead RCAs for virtualization incidents, and execute changes with solid risk/rollback plans. Collaborate closely with compute, network, storage, backup, security, DB, and app teams; participate in oncall as needed. Key skills required: 58 yearsin data center/cloud operations with strong handsonVMware SDDCexperience. Compute:vSphere/ESXi/vCenter (clusters, HA/DRS, lifecycle, templates, snapshots, vMotion). Network:Working knowledge ofNSXT(segments, groups, DFW, LB basics) and physical network integration (VLANs, LACP, MTU). Storage:vSANoperations andSAN/NASfundamentals (FC/iSCSI/NFS), SPBM and capacity/performance management. Backup/DR:Experience withVeeam/Commvault/Rubrik/Cohesityand DR concepts (SRM/HCXdesirable). Automation:PowerCLI/PowerShellessential;AnsibleandTerraform/Ariaexposure preferred; Git workflows. Observability:vROps/Aria, vRLI, Splunk/ELK or Prometheus/Grafana; capacity and performance troubleshooting. Solid documentation, communication, andITILIncident/Change/Problem experience.
