Job Overview

We are looking for a Syslog-ng Engineer to manage and optimize a centralized logging system that collects logs from multiple sources like firewalls and servers. The role focuses on ensuring smooth log processing, filtering, and routing.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and manage Syslog-ng for log collection and routing
• Create and maintain regex patterns for log parsing
• Monitor and improve performance of the logging system
• Troubleshoot log-related issues and fix routing/parsing problems
• Automate tasks using Python or Bash
• Work with AWS and DevOps teams
• Handle issues and provide quick resolutions

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Syslog-ng
• Good knowledge of regex for log filtering
• Experience with Python or Bash scripting
• Basic understanding of AWS / system administration
• Familiarity with logs from firewalls and Windows systems
• Good problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience in high-volume logging environments
• Knowledge of SIEM or log management tools
• Understanding of logging architecture
