Role Summary

The Windows L3 Engineer will serve as a senior technical specialist responsible for advanced troubleshooting escalation handling and infrastructure stability across Microsoft Windows and VMware environments The role includes resolving complex technical issues leading P1P2 incident calls collaborating with clients and mentoring L2 engineers The engineer will ensure smooth operations standardization and proactive management of enterprise systems in a shiftbased support model

Key Responsibilities

Lead resolution of highpriority P1P2 incidents ensuring timely service restoration and effective communication to stakeholders and clients

Manage and maintain enterprise Windows Server environments 20122016201920222026 and VMware infrastructure ESXi vCenter

Troubleshoot complex issues related to Active Directory DNS DHCP Group Policy file and print services and user access management

Perform capacity planning performance optimization and fault analysis for Windows and virtual environments

Conduct OSlevel patching kernel upgrades and security hardening in compliance with IT standards

Automate recurring administrative tasks using PowerShell and other scripting tools

Plan and implement infrastructure changes backups and disaster recovery initiatives

Collaborate closely with application storage and network teams to resolve multidomain technical challenges

Create and maintain detailed technical documentation system reports and standard operating procedures SOPs

Mentor and guide L2 engineers in troubleshooting methodology service delivery and client engagement

Participate in oncall rotations and shift schedules to support 24x7 operations

Required Skills Experience

Strong expertise in Microsoft Windows Server administration 20122016201920222026

Handson experience in managing VMware platforms including ESXihosts clusters and vCenter

Deep knowledge of Active Directory architecture DNS DHCP Group Policy design and replication troubleshooting

Advanced PowerShell scripting skills for automation and efficiency

Experience in security patching vulnerability management and compliance audits

Familiarity with monitoring ing and performance analytics tools

Strong analytical root cause analysis and problemsolving capabilities

Proven ability to manage critical incidents P1P2 lead warroom calls and communicate with clients under pressure

Exposure to ITILaligned incident problem and change management processes

Experience working in largescale enterprise environments with a focus on uptime and optimization

Certifications Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related discipline

Microsoft certifications such as MCSE MCSA or equivalent are highly preferred

VMware certification VCP desirable

ITIL Foundation certification is an added advantage
