Quality Engineering Analyst Digital Commerce (GCC).
Location: Global Capability Center (India).
Employment Type: Full-Time.
Organization: Ferguson IT Digital Engineering (Home Digital Commerce).
Role Summary:
The Quality Engineering Analyst Digital Commerce is responsible for validating the quality, reliability, and usability of customer-facing and backend digital commerce solutions supporting Fergusons Home Digital Commerce platforms. This role partners closely with engineering, product, and business teams to ensure software enhancements and defect fixes meet functional, performance, and usability expectations prior to release. The role operates within an Agile delivery model and contributes to predictable, high-quality delivery by identifying risk early and collaborating across global teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Engineering & Testing
- Execute functional, regression, and exploratory testing for digital commerce applications.
- Design, create, and maintain test cases aligned to business and technical requirements.
- Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and risk assessment.
- Validate defect fixes and ensure no regression to existing functionality.
- Test Planning & Execution
- Contribute to test plans and sprint-level test strategies.
- Define, create, and manage test data required for validation.
- Perform ad-hoc and regression testing to identify edge cases and usability issues.
- Agile & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Participate as an active member of an Agile Scrum team.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and QE peers to clarify requirements.
- Communicate testing status, risks, and blockers clearly and proactively.
- Quality Practices & Continuous Improvement
- Apply appropriate testing methodologies across the SDLC.
- Support continuous improvement of quality practices, tools, and processes.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required:
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- 24 years of experience in Manual and Automation testing.
- Solid experience on Playwright and test case management.
- Basic working knowledge of SQL for data validation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience testing customer-facing eCommerce or digital platforms.
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams.
- Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools.
Success Measures:
- Defects are identified early with clear documentation and minimal rework.
- Releases meet quality expectations with low post-production defect leakage.
- Effective collaboration with engineering and product partners.
- Consistent contribution to sprint and release commitments.
