Senior Product Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Product Engineer who thrives at the intersection of product, design, and engineering. Youll be responsible for building end-to-end features from ideation to deployment that directly impact our customers. You will be responsible for the architecture, health, and quality of cityflo app, systems and work across frontend, backend, and deployment, collaborating closely with product and design to ship high-quality, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with other core business teams to translate business requirements into working

features

- Identify and solve high-leverage technical problems that improve customer experience, developer velocity, product quality, and create business impact whether that means building new infrastructure, fixing systemic issues, or defining governance frameworks

- Own features end-to-end: from database design, API development, UI/UX implementation to

deployment.

- Apply best practices in UI/UX development to deliver intuitive and delightful user experiences.

- Use AI-powered development tools (Claude Code, Codex, etc.) not just as a force multiplier to ship faster, but also to contain code complexity and technical debt

- Ensure code quality, scalability, and maintainability through clean coding practices, testing, and documentation.

- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and cross-functional collaborations.

- Continuously explore and integrate new technologies to improve product and engineering workflows.

Requirements

- 5+ years of software engineering experience with deep expertise in backend distributed systems and a strong understanding of mobile app ecosystems

- Strong fundamentals in computer science, software engineering, and system design. We value

fundamentals and first principles thinking over stack familiarity

- Understanding of AI and Large Language Models (LLMs), with ability to design and integrate

automations for workflows and practical application of AI like customer support, developer

productivity, and operational efficiency

- Experience designing APIs, data layers, or platform infrastructure that other engineering teams build on top of

- Experience improving developer velocity at an organizational level build systems, testing

infrastructure, observability, or developer tooling

- Understanding of UX and UI best practices, accessibility, and responsive design principles.

- Strong problem-solving skills, product thinking, and a user-first mindset.

- Open source contributions or community involvement are a strong plus.
