Senior Equity Research Analyst

We are partnering with a leading global multi-strategy hedge fund managing over $90B in assets, to hire a Senior Equity Research Analyst supporting their TMT sector fundamental analysis.

Location: Hyderabad/Bangalore/Gurgaon

Responsibilities:

• Cover companies within the technology sector and contribute to investment views through rigorous fundamental analysis
• Partner closely with front office teams to support idea generation and refine investment theses
• Develop deep understanding of company business models, competitive positioning, and industry dynamics
• Build and maintain detailed financial models to support investment analysis and valuation work
• Track company developments, earnings releases, news flow, and external research to identify key themes and inflection points
• Synthesize research findings into clear and concise investment memos
• Conduct in-depth benchmarking analysis across financial and operational metrics versus industry peers
• Engage with company management teams, sell-side analysts, intermediaries, and sector experts to strengthen research insights and sector knowledge
• Provide differentiated insights and support ongoing investment discussions across the team

Requirements:

• A degree in finance or equivalent (MBA, CFA, or CA), with at least 8 years of investment research experience.
• Prior investment research and analysis experience in Enterprise Software, Vertical Software and/or Payments sectors. Candidate should be well versed with the business models and industry dynamics of these sectors.
• The ability to demonstrate hands-on financial modeling and valuation skills.
• Robust analytical aptitude and keen attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate investment analysis and perspectives.
