Senior ECM Developer / Lead (Enterprise Content Management)

Role Summary

The Senior ECM Developer / Lead will be responsible for the design, development, configuration, and support of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions supporting document lifecycle management, imaging, workflow, records, and archival needs.

The role requires strong hands‑on expertise across leading ECM platforms and experience working in high‑volume, compliance‑driven environments.

Key Responsibilities

ECM Solution Development & Configuration

• Design, develop, and configure ECM solutions across document ingestion, storage, retrieval, workflow, and archival
• Build and maintain document classes, metadata models, repositories, and security models
• Implement document lifecycle management including versioning, retention, and disposition

Platform Expertise

• Hands‑on development and configuration experience in one or more ECM platforms:
• IBM FileNet (P8, Case Manager, Content Platform Engine)
• Kofax (Capture, TotalAgility, Transformation)
• Alfresco (Content Services, Process Services)
• IBM CMOD (Content Manager OnDemand)
• ABBYY (FlexiCapture, OCR, Intelligent Capture)
• Support platform customization, upgrades, and enhancements

Capture, Imaging & OCR

• Design and implement document ingestion and capture workflows
• Configure OCR, classification, extraction, and validation using ABBYY / Kofax
• Ensure high accuracy and performance for high‑volume scanning and ingestion

Workflow & Process Automation

• Design and configure workflow/process orchestration using ECM and BPM capabilities
• Integrate ECM workflows with downstream business systems
• Support exception handling, SLAs, and monitoring

Integration & Data Handling

• Integrate ECM platforms with enterprise applications using APIs, web services, MQ, and file‑based interfaces
• Handle structured and unstruc tured data integration
• Work closely with application and integration teams for end‑to‑end delivery

Security, Compliance & Governance

• Implement role‑based access control, document security, and audit trails
• Ensure adherence to regulatory, legal, and records‑management policies
• Support compliance requirements for BFSI and regulated industries

Testing, Support & Documentation

• Perform unit testing, SIT/UAT support, and defect resolution
• Troubleshoot production issues related to document access, ingestion, or workflow
• Maintain technical documentation and configuration artifacts

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–10 years of experience in Enterprise Content Management (ECM)
• Strong hands‑on experience with IBM FileNet, Kofax, Alfresco, IBM CMOD, and/or ABBYY
• Experience with document imaging, capture, OCR, workflow, and archival systems
• Good knowledge of ECM data models, metadata, repositories, and security
• Experience working in BFSI / Insurance / regulated environments
• Understanding of SDLC, change management, and audit‑ready delivery

Good to Have

• Experience with ECM migration or platform modernization programs
• Exposure to records management and retention policies
• Knowledge of content search, indexing, and performance tuning
• Agile / Scrum delivery experience
