Senior DevOps Engineer
Position Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code to design, automate, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating Kubernetes workloads in production, building CI/CD pipelines, and implementing monitoring and security best practices. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in fast-paced, distributed environments.
You will play a key role in ensuring platform reliability, automation maturity, and production stability across cloud-native microservices systems.
What Youll Do
- Design and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform).
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins to enable automated and reliable deployments.
- Deploy, manage, and scale Kubernetes clusters in production, including:
1.Cluster architecture and setup
2.Deployments, services, ingress controllers
3.Horizontal Pod Autoscaling (HPA)
4.ConfigMaps and Secrets management
5.Troubleshooting production workloads
- Implement containerization strategies using Docker and manage microservices-based architectures.
- Set up and maintain monitoring and observability solutions using Open Telemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, and Kubernetes-native monitoring tools.
- Design and manage API traffic handling using REST, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, API Gateway, and load-balancing strategies.
- Ensure infrastructure and application security best practices including OWASP compliance, static code analysis, and container security.
- Troubleshoot performance issues, outages, and scaling challenges in production environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, data, and security teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps / Cloud Engineering roles.
- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services in production environments.
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform).
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes administration and production operations.
- Strong experience with Docker and cloud-native microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language: Python, Go, or Shell scripting.
- Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases (e.g., Postgres, MongoDB).
- Strong Linux fundamentals and system-level troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of infrastructure and application security best practices.
Nice to Have
- Experience with AWS data services such as DMS, Glue, Athena, or Redshift.
- Experience working in start-up or high-growth environments.
- Experience collaborating with distributed / remote teams.
- Exposure to advanced observability, performance tuning, or cost optimization strategies.
