We power the delivery promises on pdp, cart, and checkout pages for brands like VUORI, Steve Madden, Negative, and KUIU. Hundreds of millions of API requests per year.

We're hiring the person who takes over our already reliable and robust platform infrastructure to next level - making it foolproof, cheaper and faster to run and operate

THE ROLE

You're not joining a DevOps team. You ARE the DevOps function. Every infrastructure decision architecture, tooling, vendor, cost trade-off is yours to own.

Three outcomes define success:

Zero manual ops. Auto-scaling, self-healing, anomaly-based alerting. No more 2am firefighting on ELK connection storms or thread pool exhaustion.

80%+ infrastructure cost reduction.

Infra to support Sub-15ms P99 API latency.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK WITH

The stack:

ECS production tasks across multiple clusters

Elasticsearch clusters, Thousands of indices (active ES 7.9 Elastic 8 migration)

Java microservices: Java 11/17, Spring Boot 2.x/3.x, WebFlux

Maven Docker ECR ECS deployment pipeline

AWS MSK (Kafka), Glue/Athena/S3 data lake, CloudFront CDN

Terraform (expanding coverage), Route 53, ALB, WAF, IAM

ECS Fargate (zero capacity planning)

DynamoDB for key-value order lookups

SQS FIFO + Lambda for async bulk writes

ElastiCache Redis + Caffeine L1 for multi-tier caching

CloudFront edge caching for PDP responses

CloudWatch anomaly detection replacing manual monitoring

WHAT WE NEED

Must have:

5+ years in DevOps/SRE/Cloud Infrastructure with deep AWS experience

Production ECS management (EC2 and/or Fargate) at scale

Hands-on Elasticsearch/OpenSearch admin cluster ops, index lifecycle, migrations

Java/Spring Boot CI/CD pipelines (Maven, Docker, ECR)

AWS networking: VPC, ALB, Route 53, IAM, security groups

Terraform or CloudFormation

A track record of eliminating operational toil through automation

Nice to have:

Serverless architecture: Lambda, Fargate, SQS, DynamoDB, EventBridge

Kafka/MSK administration

AWS Glue, Athena, S3 data pipelines

Python deployment (FastAPI, ML model serving, ONNX)

Ecommerce or SaaS platform ops experience

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

30 days: You understand the full architecture. Observability layer is deployed on ES clusters.
