Job Description
Role Overview
We are looking for data-driven analytics professionals to support the Retail Media Network by developing advanced attribution and measurement frameworks. The role will focus on analyzing customer journeys across marketing channels, applying attribution models such as Markov Chains, and evaluating the incremental impact of marketing campaigns through rigorous measurement techniques.
The candidate will work closely with marketing, retail media, and data teams to translate customer behavior data into actionable insights that optimize media investments and improve return on advertising spend (ROAS).
Key Responsibilities
Customer Journey Analysis & Attribution
- Analyze multi-touch customer journeys across paid, owned, and retail media channels.
- Develop attribution models using Markov Chain methodologies to quantify the contribution of different marketing touchpoints.
- Identify key conversion paths and understand the role of each channel in driving customer purchases.
- Build scalable frameworks to evaluate channel contribution and interaction effects across the customer journey.
Marketing Measurement & Incrementality
- Design and execute marketing measurement frameworks to quantify campaign effectiveness.
- Conduct A/B testing, holdout experiments, and incrementality studies to measure the causal impact of marketing channels using classical statistical techniques as well advanced techniques like Bayesian.
- Estimate sales uplift, incremental revenue, and ROAS from marketing campaigns.
Data Analysis & Modeling
- Work with large-scale customer interaction, transaction, and campaign datasets to generate insights.
- Perform EDA and feature engineering to identify key drivers of customer engagement and conversions.
- Develop scalable analytical workflows using Python and PySpark.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with Retail Media, Marketing, and Category teams to translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations.
- Communicate attribution results and experiment outcomes clearly to business stakeholders.
- Support decision-making around channel mix optimization and campaign strategy.
Automation & Reporting
- Build automated pipelines to track campaign performance and attribution metrics.
- Create reporting frameworks to regularly monitor channel contributions, campaign performance, and marketing ROI
Required Skills
Technical Skills
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Experience working with PySpark or large-scale data - email, instore display, website data, social media, Google, Ad manager, etc.
- Experience in performing EDA, statistical analysis, and data visualization
- Familiarity with attribution modeling techniques (e.g., Markov Chains, multi-touch attribution)
Analytical Skills
- Strong understanding of marketing analytics and customer journey analysis
- Experience with experiment design and causal inference techniques
- Ability to interpret large behavioral datasets and derive actionable insights
Business & Soft Skills
- Strong stakeholder communication and presentation skills
- Ability to translate complex analytical outputs into clear business recommendations
- Ability to operate in fast-paced environments with quick turnaround times
- Structured and efficient ways of working
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Retail Media Networks, digital marketing analytics, or e-commerce analytics Approx. 4-8 years
- Experience working with marketing campaign data and media platforms
- Familiarity with incrementality measurement, lift analysis, and marketing attribution models
