Senior Data Quality Engineer

A leading U.S.-based streaming company is hiring a Senior Data Quality Engineer to support a largescale streaming platform integration. This is a data quality + testing role, not an SDET or pure software engineering position.

Youll be responsible for validating data and ETL pipelines that support subscriber, content, identity, and analytics data at massive scale.

This is a 6-month contract + extensions, remote, and we need immediate joiners! We are looking for candidates local or near BENGALURU as the client has an office there and you may be required to come onsite for important meetings.

What Youll Do

• Validate and test ETL/data pipelines built by partner engineering teams
• Write robust Pythonbased data validation tests and SQL test cases
• Create and execute test plans, test cases, and data quality checks
• Perform business logic and data correctness validations
• Leverage existing automation frameworks for data testing (framework already in place)
• Collaborate in a Scrum environment (standups, sprint planning, reviews)
• Support largescale integrations across streaming platforms, including live sports and subscriptions

Required Experience

• 510 years of experience as a Senior Data Quality Engineer / Data QA Engineer
• Strong Python (for data validation/testing) and SQL
• Handson ETL testing and validation experience
• Strong QA mindset with experience building test plans and test cases
• Experience validating business logic in data pipelines
• Big data experience (Hadoop, Spark, or Hive)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
• Cloud & data stack experience:
• AWS
• Databricks
• Snowflake

Work Expectations

• Work hours: ~2:00 PM 10:00 PM IST
• Availability until 12:00 AM IST for team standups and collaboration
