We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Integration & API Engineer to design and build a future-state automated data ecosystem that replaces manual processes with scalable, data-driven workflows.
This role involves building a robust integration layer across multiple banking systems, enabling automated CIF creation, external account management, and seamless integration with platforms like Fiserv and Actimize.

You will play a critical, hands-on role in architecting and delivering a high-impact solutionnot just advising.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Solution Development
Design and implement automated workflows to:
Identify eligible accounts across systems
Create and maintain CIF records
Manage external accounts (add/update/delete)
Replace manual processes with scalable automation
Data Engineering & Integration
Build ODS-based data models and joins across:
Loans, mortgages, credit cards, trust systems
Create reusable, high-quality datasets
Optimize extraction from large-scale systems
Business Logic & Rule Engine
Implement complex business rules:
Account eligibility (status, balance, product type)
Edge cases (zero-balance accounts, closed loans, ownership changes)
Ensure auditability and extensibility of logic
CIF & Account Automation
Develop logic for:
CIF detection and creation
Customer-account relationship handling
Lifecycle management of external accounts
API & Integration Development
Build integrations using REST APIs (Fiserv preferred)
Design file-based interfaces (SFTP) where APIs are unavailable
Validate payloads, endpoints, and processing flows
Testing & Validation
Perform end-to-end validation:
Data accuracy
API performance
Error handling & reconciliation
Collaboration & Documentation
Work closely with:
Data Engineering teams
Business stakeholders
External vendors (Fiserv, Actimize)
Create detailed technical documentation:
Data mappings
Business rules
Integration specs

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills
Strong experience in Data Integration & Automation
Hands-on expertise in:
REST APIs
SQL & data transformation
Batch & near real-time processing
Experience with ODS / enterprise data layers
Domain Expertise
Experience in Banking / Financial Services
Strong understanding of:
Customer Information Files (CIF)
Account structures & relationships
Exposure to AML / Actimize pipelines (preferred)
Professional Skills
Ability to convert high-level concepts into execution
Comfortable working with:
Ambiguous requirements
Evolving vendor dependencies
Strong ownership mindset & problem-solving skills
Nice to Have
Experience with Fiserv platforms
Exposure to legacy automation tools (e.g., Foxtrot)
