The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer who can go beyond dashboardssomeone who can own, architect, and scale end-to-end analytics platforms.

This role is ideal for someone with strong Data Engineering and Power BI expertise, combined with architectural thinking, leadership, and stakeholder influence.

Role Overview

You will lead the design and delivery of enterprise-grade analytics solutions, working closely with business and engineering teams. From defining data strategy to implementing scalable pipelines and BI platforms, you will play a key role in shaping the analytics ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Analytics Architecture & Strategy

• Design and evolve scalable, secure, and high-performance analytics platforms
• Define data modeling standards, BI best practices, and architecture guidelines
• Influence platform and tooling decisions aligned with long-term strategy

Advanced Data Engineering

• Build and lead development of ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL, Python, Spark/PySpark
• Establish standards for data reliability, observability, and governance
• Drive reusable and scalable data solutions

Power BI & Enterprise BI

• Architect and scale Power BI solutions using advanced DAX and optimized data models
• Govern Power BI Service including workspaces, deployment pipelines, gateways, and RLS
• Solve complex analytical challenges with performance-optimized models

Stakeholder Partnership

• Translate business requirements into actionable analytics solutions
• Lead solution discussions, roadmap planning, and executive reviews
• Drive data-informed decision-making

Performance Optimization

• Identify and resolve bottlenecks across pipelines, queries, and BI layers
• Optimize performance using partitioning, caching, indexing, and aggregations
• Continuously improve architecture and system efficiency

Leadership & Ownership

• Mentor engineers and define engineering best practices
• Lead design and code reviews
• Own delivery from concept to production

Required Skills

• Databricks, Lakehouse or Medallion architecture
• DataOps practices
• Deep expertise in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, dataflows, RLS, Service)
• Strong SQL, Python, Spark SQL, and PySpark
• Experience in data modeling (star/snowflake, semantic models)
• Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks
• Strong background in performance tuning at scale
• Experience with data governance, lineage, and security
• Agile experience with Azure DevOps, including CI/CD

Nice to Have

• Finance and/or Energy domain expertise
• Certifications such as PL-300, DP-203, or Databricks
