Role Overview

We are looking for a commercially driven Senior Buyer who can lead data-backed buying decisions across categories while ensuring strong inventory health, margin discipline, and seamless GTM execution.

This role requires ownership across forecasting, intake planning, sell-through tracking, launch readiness, vendor coordination, and stock optimization.

The ideal candidate understands fast-fashion buying, works with high accountability, and can balance creativity with commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Buying & Margin Management

- Drive category buying aligned with revenue and margin goals
- Negotiate commercial terms and ensure cost adherence
- Monitor markdown impact and profitability
- Identify cost-saving opportunities across sourcing and procurement

Intake Planning & Inventory Optimization

- Plan quantities based on sales trends, launch plans, and inventory position
- Maintain healthy stock levels while avoiding overbuying
- Monitor inventory ageing and stock movement
- Ensure launch fill rates are maintained as per target

Sell-Through & SKU Performance

- Own SKU-level performance tracking and sell-through analysis
- Conduct weekly performance reviews and recommend actions
- Identify slow-moving inventory and drive corrective planning
- Collaborate with merchandising and planning teams for stock optimization

Launch Planning & GTM Readiness

- Ensure inward completion before shoot and launch timelines
- Coordinate with design, operations, warehouse, and marketing teams
- Ensure catalogue readiness and listing completion before launch
- Maintain smooth execution across all launch calendars

Reporting & Operational Discipline

- Maintain accurate weekly MIS and buying reports
- Escalate risks proactively to avoid launch or inventory surprises
- Drive accountability across vendor and cross-functional coordination

Key Skills Required

- Strong understanding of fashion buying and merchandising
- Commercial and analytical mindset
- Inventory planning and forecasting expertise
- Advanced Excel / reporting capabilities
- Strong vendor negotiation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced D2C environment
- Strong ownership and execution discipline

Preferred Experience

- 48 years in fashion buying / merchandising
- Experience in D2C, fast fashion, or youth fashion brands preferred
- Experience managing launch calendars and inventory planning
